Police Searching For Inmate Who Escaped From Custody In Maryland

Police in Maryland are warning area residents to be on the lookout after a resident escaped from custody.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the Howard County Police Department were notified that Randy Morris, an inmate, escaped from a transport van.

The 38-year-old - who was in custody for burglary - got away in the area of Dorsey Run Road and Route 32. The Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Maryland State police departments are now searching for him on foot and with drones.

Morris was described as being 5-foot-9, weighs between 130 and 140 pounds, is bald with a beard. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue shorts, and officials noted he is no longer wearing handcuffs or shackles.

Anyone who spots him has been instructed to call 911 immediately.
